How to install

  1. Open CrimsonShield-VPN-Setup.exe from your Downloads.
  2. If Windows shows "Windows protected your PC", click More info, then Run anyway.
    Illustration. "Run anyway" appears after you click "More info".
  3. Click Yes when Windows asks to allow changes. This happens once, while installing (a VPN needs it to set up its secure network adapter). After that, CrimsonShield opens like any normal app, no popup.
  4. Open CrimsonShield VPN, paste your license key, and click Activate. On first connect it installs the official, signed WireGuard® driver automatically.
  5. Pick a country and hit the power button. You're protected. 🛡

Why does Windows show a warning?

Windows shows this screen for new apps from independent developers until enough people have installed them. It doesn't mean anything is wrong. CrimsonShield VPN doesn't collect your data, and the encryption is done by the open-source WireGuard driver used by major VPN companies.

If your antivirus flags it, choose Allow / Restore, or message us on Discord and we'll help.

🍎 iPhone & iPad

No extra app needed. CrimsonShield goes straight into Settings → VPN.

Open the CrimsonShield app
  1. In Safari, open the app above (optional: Share → Add to Home Screen).
  2. Log in with your key → Phone VPN → Install on this iPhone → Allow.
  3. Settings → Profile Downloaded → Install.
  4. Settings → VPN → pick a location → switch it on.

🤖 Android

No extra app needed on Android 11 and newer: uses the phone's built-in VPN.

Open the CrimsonShield app
  1. Log in with your key → Phone VPN → Get Android login.
  2. Settings → Network & internet → VPN → + → type IKEv2/IPSec MSCHAPv2.
  3. Copy in the server, username and password shown, save, then tap it to connect.

Older phone? Use the free WireGuard app with Add device instead.

Mac, Linux or router?

Log in to the web dashboard with your key to get configs for the official WireGuard app on any device.
